Elections and Volunteers

Volunteers are an integral part of Arapahoe Credit Union. Personal satisfaction, educational opportunities, and being involved in important decision making are just some of the benefits of volunteer service. The credit union is accepting online applications from qualified candidates to serve. Interested members may also complete a printed application and submit it to the credit union, Attn: Nominating Committee: 3999 E. Arapahoe Rd. Centennial, CO 80122.

Board of Directors

A credit union board of directors is responsible for providing strategic direction, financial oversight, and governance to ensure the institution operates safely, soundly, and in the best interest of its member-owners. Board members fulfill fiduciary duties by acting with care, loyalty, and obedience to laws and bylaws, while setting long-term goals, approving major policies, overseeing risk management and regulatory compliance, and hiring and evaluating the CEO. They do not manage daily operations but instead focus on oversight, accountability, and protecting the financial strength and mission of the credit union.

Audit Committee

The Credit Union Audit Committee is responsible for providing independent oversight of the credit union’s financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance to protect members’ assets and ensure safe and sound operations. The committee oversees internal and external audits, reviews financial statements, monitors the effectiveness of internal controls, ensures management addresses audit and regulatory findings, and investigates concerns involving potential fraud or financial irregularities. While it does not manage daily operations or set strategy, the committee serves as an essential safeguard, helping ensure accountability, transparency, and financial integrity.
