Duties:

The Financial Service Specialist is primarily accountable for establishing and maintaining member relationships through active listening and matching credit union products and service to the members needs while simultaneously handling a wide variety of duties and responsibilities, which include:
  • Assists members and potential members with their credit union needs in person and over the phone.
  • Interviews loan applicants to obtain information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.
  • Identifies cross sell opportunities and successfully cross sells ACU’s product and services.
  • Assist members with IRA requests.
  • Identifies and makes recommendations regarding steps to improve the department’s operating methods and procedures.
  • Identifies transactions/situations to which BSA documentations should be completed and submitted
  • Acts as a back-up to the teller line as needed by receiving and processing member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments.

    Subprime Consumer Loan Officer

    Arapahoe Credit Union is seeking a full time (40 hour) Subprime Consumer Loan Officer for our Centennial Branch, Monday – Friday. This position reports directly to the Lending Manager in the Lending Department. The applicant must be skilled at underwriting specialized loans while mitigating risk and following Arapahoe Credit Union underwriting standards. Credit Union or Banking experience is required. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required.

    Duties:

    The Subprime Consumer Loan Officer is primarily accountable for establishing and maintaining member relationships for a subprime consumer loan program which includes communications over the phone and in person through active listening and matching credit union products and services. The applicant must have underwriting experience (two to five years) specifically with 2nd mortgages and consumer loans. Additionally the applicant must have knowledge of 1st mortgages.

    Arapahoe Credit Union is seeking a full time (40 hour) Loan Processor for our Centennial Branch, Monday – Friday. This position reports directly to the Lending Manager in the Lending Department.

    Duties:

    The Mortgage Loan Processor is primarily accountable for processing all 2nd mortgage loan requests over the phone, via electronic submission, and in person. Responsible for simultaneously handling a wide variety of duties and responsibilities, which include:
  • Act as liaison between borrower, underwriter and loan originator.
  • Process consumer loan applications and disclosures, while adhering to loan policies and procedures, as well as regulatory compliance.
  • Liaisons with third party vendors (appraisal, title, insurance, etc.) to obtain necessary documentation for loan approval.

    Arapahoe Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Teller located in our Centennial Branch, working M-F with a flexible schedule ranging from 7:45 am – 6:15 pm. The teller must have cash handling experience and be skilled at building relationships and creating member loyalty while processing financial transactions timely, accurately and maintaining a high balancing record. The position also requires the necessity to learn and adapt to numerous business technologies.

    Accountant

    Arapahoe Credit Union is seeking an Accountant located at our Centennial Office, M-F with a flexible schedule ranging from 7 – 5. The Accountant must possess analytical skills, computer proficiency including MS Excel and MS Outlook, understand the fundamental principals of general ledger accounting, straight line depreciation, and accrual basis accounting. High emphasis on previous financial institution (preferably credit union) accounting experience, accuracy, time management, problem resolution and upholding existing Arapahoe Credit Union policies and procedures.

    Communication Specialist

    Arapahoe Credit Union is seeking a part time (20-30 hour) Communication Specialist. This position reports directly to the Director of Integrated Communications. Hours are somewhat flexible, but must be able to coordinate with the Director of Integrated Communications.

    Motivated employees have the potential to justify an increase to full-time. However, this will depend on specific performance benchmarks and overall value created for the credit union.

    Qualifications:A Communication Specialist is an effective analyst as well as a developed writer/ communicator. Critical thinking is required to analyze various publics and their needs to produce effective and cost-conscious materials. High-level writing skills and tact are required. Suited applicants will be able to provide input into the credit union’s creative processes and help improve member and staff experience.

    Experience with basic business programs (Microsoft Office and/or Google Docs) is required. Graphic design and web skills are highly recommended, but not required.     Consumer Title Specialist

    Arapahoe Credit Union is seeking a full time (40 hour) Consumer Title Specialist for our Centennial branch, Monday – Friday. This position is responsible for accurate and timely title/lien perfection and release. The Consumer Title Specialist must have knowledge of DMV rules and regulations and have the ability to adapt quickly to departmental needs and perform a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties. The Consumer Title Specialist must have experience with electronic title filing and electronic signatures (DocuSign or equivalent).
